2026 Sustainable Development Awards Entry Form


Eligibility Criteria & Submission Requirements

The Sustainable Development Awards 2026 are open to individuals, organisations, institutions, businesses, community groups and initiatives making meaningful contributions towards sustainable development in Namibia.

In line with the 2026 theme, "Empowering Namibian Youth for a Sustainable Future," preference will be given to youth-led initiatives. "Youth" is defined as aged 16–35 years (National Youth Council Act, 2009).

Eligible entries should demonstrate work implemented within July 2024 to 24 July 2026.

Applicants may self-nominate or nominate another individual or organisation. Entries may be submitted for more than one category.

All submissions will be evaluated on: Innovation and originality; Demonstrated impact; Sustainability and long-term value; Community benefit and inclusivity; and Alignment with Namibia's sustainable development priorities.

Please describe in maximum 100 words why you think you/nominee should win the award.


Indicate the nature of the activity, the problem it addresses, main actions undertaken, situation before and after.
